I just wanted to write a quick blog post to tell you something exciting that happened recently. I wrote a piece for the latest issue of Untouchd magazine! *Cue happy dance*
As you may know, I already wrote a post (read it here) about the first two issues that Holy (Editor in Chief) published. That blog post actually put me in touch with Holy herself and she asked me to write a short piece for the next issue. So, of course, I was absolutely delighted and said yes. The theme for Issue 02 is Cultivate you Skills. The idea is that no matter where you are in your studies or career, there is always something to learn and improve on. That being said I decided on a piece all about perfectionism and learning to code. More of a musing really on why we shouldnt let perfectionism take over when we are trying to learn new skills. Something that I have definitely struggled with myself.
In Issue 02, Holy has completely revamped the whole look of the magazine. It has had a fresh new makeover and it now has clean, modern and minimal look. The layout is beautiful as well as some great photography by Leanne at Pixel Boutique.
Thank You Holy!
A massive thank you to Holy for writing such a brilliant magazine and also asking me to write for you! It is very bizarre to go from raving about something to being involved in it!
Even more news is that Untouchd magazine is now available in print – how exciting is that! The first two issues are available now with the 3rd (issue 02) coming soon. If you can’t wait that long though you can read them in their digital format for free here.
To get you started, here are a few of my favourite articles from this latest issue. Excluding my own of course…
- Self care 101
- Learn to say no
- #womenintech – how instagram unknowingly fostered a supportive community for women in tech
- Git Gud – understanding git branches
Holy has done yet another amazing job, she really is a one woman power house. Also, to all of the other amazing folk who contributed your wisdom to the issue I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
I highly recommend you check Untouchd magazine out, as there truly is something for everyone. Let me know what you think!
